The parlour in the living room of Düsseldorf
Aged with dignity: the judges' chamber
The former judges' room is a relic and a jewel from the days of the former district and local court. In order to maintain its awe-inspiring aura and stately character, the elaborate stucco and painting work on the walls and ceiling was deliberately preserved and not completely restored. Thanks to the sensitive addition of matching lights and furnishings that are as unobtrusive as possible, it still tells stories from bygone eras today.
From office to event venue
The perfect setting for sophisticated occasions
The former judges' room, or Salon, is now used as a living room for cultural events in Düsseldorf and is the perfect setting for special occasions, for example, when a quiet place of retreat is needed. The room can be used to host smaller exhibitions, hold press conferences or organise VIP receptions. It is also an ideal location for private and business events that require a very special touch.
The history of the Andreas Quartier is not only impressively evident in the lobby. The late Wilhelminian era can also be seen in many carefully restored or preserved details of the former judges' room.
