An Unusual Walk
A typical day in the Andreas Quartier
New paths are created by walking them. In this sense, the personal discovery of the Andreas Quartier and its surroundings is always an individual matter. It depends on one's own motivation, interests and goals, one's own lifestyle. But the Andreas Quartier has so much to offer that everyone can find something here. And it can be something different every day. But no matter which path you choose: wherever you look, you will find joy.
Good morning, sunshine
Where Düsseldorf can be a village again
A good morning starts with a view of Andreas Garten as you wake up. In this small park, shielded from the hustle and bustle of the big city and centred around a water basin, there is an almost village-like atmosphere. The sound of bells from the nearby churches only serves to enhance this impression. With a little luck, you can even watch swans or ducks flying from the Hofgarten park to the Rhine and sometimes stopping briefly to rest in the water. The residents of the neighbouring residences have not yet agreed on the season in which Andreas Garten is at its most beautiful.
The best time of the day
The breakfast buffet in the Pitti restaurant is the perfect start to the day. A large selection of hot and cold dishes, as well as coffee and tea specialities, await our guests. In summer, the restaurant's two outdoor terraces invite you to linger.
A delight for the senses
After breakfast, we recommend a tour of the impressive art collection in the large hall of the Andreas Quartier. Here, works by contemporary artists who are among the greats on the international scene are on display. With paintings, photographs and sculptures by Jeff Koons, Tony Cragg, HA Schult or Dieter Nuhr in mind, the tour continues.
A taste of Italy
At lunchtime, it's time for Italian delicacies. The traditional Trattoria Pitti offers the right atmosphere and authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Here you can enjoy a range of dishes, from light antipasti to a variety of pasta dishes, fish and meat. In good weather, you can also dine outside. And of course, an espresso is the perfect way to round off the meal.
Get on your bike!
With electricity to the power station: after lunch, a bicycle tour along the Rhine or to the other side of the Rhine is on the agenda. The modern e-bikes of the Andreas Quartier make it easy to reach even more distant attractions in the city quickly. The bikes are available from the concierge. He also has the best insider tips on which hotspots you should see.
Mutter Ey Café in the afternoon
The café, named after the legendary Düsseldorf gallery owner Johanna Ey, exudes the charm of the historic old town and offers a cosy atmosphere that invites you to linger. Delicious homemade cakes, tarts and other delicacies are the café's flagship.
A restful break above the old town
You can enjoy a wonderful rest in one of the hotel's modern and luxuriously appointed suites. Some suites have sun terraces or balconies with a view of the Andreas Garden and the city's rooftops. Perfect for a quick sunbath before the next item on the programme.
Reading with piano accompaniment
The Andreas Quartier lobby boasts excellent acoustics, allowing the pianist to make the Steinway sing. At the same time, you can read a book from the library in the lounge or indulge in an aperitif from the bar. The comfortable velvet armchairs add the finishing touch to an unforgettable experience.
Evening comes, dinner beckons
The Andreas Quartier's selection of excellent restaurants doesn't make it easy for guests: back to Pitti? Or this time to Mbassy by Franks, where creative and international cuisine awaits? It's entirely a matter of taste, because extraordinary moments of pleasure await in both restaurants.
A bar straight out of a book
The bar in the living room of the Andreas Quartier is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful bars in Düsseldorf. International cocktails, rare spirits from around the world and champagne are served here. It's the perfect place to let the day come to a relaxed close.
